we watch the stars at night
we snuggle up really close
and hold each other tight.

i stare into your eyes
whispering sweet nothings
as you stare back into mine.

we are hand in hand
the sun staring at our backs
as we meander across the sand.

i have you and you have me
nothing bad can touch us
and we are together for eternity.

but...

this is my reality...
i lie alone at night
desperately clutching my pillow
for i have nothing else to hold tight.

this is my reality...
i stare off into space
wishing you could hear my thoughts
wishing i could see your face.

this is my reality...
alone, scared, feeling intense pain
my body shrouded in darkness
i stand weeping, whispering your name.

this is my reality...
my heart aches for you more and more
but i know i cant have you
broken, my heart is slowly shutting it's door.
